Um... President Bartlett? He was a person who was portrayed as wise and knowledgeable and respected. Both the character and actor is a Christian.

@CoralRidgeMinistries how are you free when they tell you you own them everything, and are you free is they tell you if you don't worship them you will go to hell from ethernity.

Ah, yes, the golden age of film. A time of wholesome family entertainment, blatant racism, and stifling sexual repression.
About today's media; is it so wrong that people are shown denying God? Should the atheist POV be ignored? And have you ever heard of Tyler Perry? I'm not exaggerating when I say that EVERY ONE of his films, plays, and tv shows have at least one positive character who is a Christian and all of his work has an underlying current of faith in God.

I know, they always portray religious people as either obsessed, ignorant, or hypocritical.
the thing is that christianity is as oppressive as islam.. it takes away freedom and forces you to conform to bullshit

@XcellentXistence Actually, Christ sets you free from the bondage of sin. Besides that, you get to know the Great I AM, up-close and personal. He is the greatest journey anyone could ever choose.

Thank you. This is still true.
Film is such a powerful vehicle. Someone should fight fire with fire. Do you know any Christian film makers?
