a ghostly relic at the time of this film, cama beach resort on camano island, washington, looks westward across the saratoga passage to whidbey island. from 1936-1989 it operated as an auto court fishing resort. it had once been, in the late 1800's, a pioneer logging village & earlier yet, native american salish indians lived there. in fact, current efforts to renovate it into a state park are being challenged by the tulalip indians since human remains believed to be native american were found in 2002.
This place looks like it would be a lovely place to go hang out and fish or catch some sun rays. So now they made it to a state park, thats awesome. If u can or think of it next time ur there, take a video of the new state park. :-)

Tomorrow (june 21st) is the grand opening as a state park. I started working there about 3 weeks ago and it's so strange watching this.
