Even though i've seen this game over a dozen times, i still watch it like its the 93' tournament all over again! At the very last seconds of the game, i keep thinking that it's going to be an alternate ending, and i get all so excited, then Webber calls that infamous "timeout"! I still get all choked up when the game is over, and the Fab Five wlks off the court as a team for the last time!! Their playing time is over, but the legacy lives forever!! Rock on Fab Five!

can't believe Derrick Phleps is dating my cousin

Billy's first prediction @6:52. Webber played 2 more minutes. I loved this Fab 5 team. In fact my top 3 favorite teams of all time ended up breaking my heart. 83' Houstion, 91 Vegas, and the Fab 5. Uuuuugh. Have hated NC State and Duke since. Carolina, too hard to hate, what a solid team.

UNC won the game but Michigan has a legacy and 3 out of the fab 5 (chris webber, juwan howard, and jalen rose) have more a sucessful NBA career than the most sucessful UNC player (probaly george lynch)

@1103bullsnation they can call it after 3 seconds, the reason they wont sometimes is because they are allowed to hang if there is a person underneath them
-
@boknowsbaseball Pure speculation. Combine the scores for the two games that UNC and Michigan played and UNC leads by 5. At the end of the day, UNC is the '93 national champ and Michigan is the '93 runner up--nothing to be ashamed of.

(57:11) the dunk is not a technical foul because he didn't hang on the rim for more than 5 seconds. The refs will only call a T if the player hangs on the rim over 5 seconds

Webber should have used the loss for motivation for 1994 Tournament. If CWebb stayed I bet they would have beaten Arkansas in the regional finals and beat Duke in the Championship game.

Apparently, Williams shot the ball ridiculous in back to back games since he was 5-7 from 3 pt range and had 25 pts in both the Final 4 against Kansas and the championship game against Michigan. I'd rather call him an excellent shooter/scorer. "One shining moment."

rebounded the ball
Michigan probably had more talent, but UNC was able to win for a few reasons.
The way Williams shot that game was just ridiculous. Michigan on the other hand didn't shoot well. Jimmy King, with 3 minutes to play, shoots a wide open airball. How does someone who shoots that well normally draw nothing there? That was a huge miss. The fab five were always inconsistent for stretches of games. They always played a lot of close games but mostly found ways to win, it eventually caught up with them.
