Yo I'm in film school right now and I agree with this guy so hard. People now a' days are all trying to appeal to the market which you gotta do sometimes for money, but that's not art. Art is just doing yourself and expressing yourself freely and if people like what you do then that's sick, but if not then so be it. Art isn't conforming to what people think is cool, it's being yourself.

... I feel a little homo after that speech. Fuck it, it's 2010 don't be scared.

definitely, when I'm out shooting I don't try to appeal to anyone, I shoot what I feel is a perfect photo. I follow others people leads I try to set myself apart by seeing things differently, thus resulting in photos that others may not have seen.
