I just wanted to read a short excerpt from Richard Dawkins' book "The Blind Watchmaker." I highly recommend it for anyone who wants a comprehensive and not simply plausible but proven support for the fact of evolution.

  • Good of you to "bring it down" to the mass of us. Thanks.

  • I'm not exactly sure how to take that; that isn't at all how I meant it.

I was just trying to help; if I offended you, I'm sorry. Totally not my intentions.

  • I prefer the gun to the spring loaded chair.

  • Me too. Oh, me too.

  • What would be the result of natural selection being interupted by intelligent design? What if the natural world existed before 'god' intervened? How would this effect the DNA script? Would it be detectable with current technologies?

  • What if spiritual fairies came in and modified the DNA with magical leprechaun dust? After which, the power rangers came and helped the ninja turtles fix it back. Would there be evidence?

Rhetorical question; intelligent design is not a valid theory.

  • @anakissm What about the Big Bang. What caused the Big Bang. It couldn't have just happened. Nothing in this universe just happens on its own. It's always caused by something else.

  • It's truly unfortunate that in this day and age we are still forced to have to debate with religious bigots at such a simple of concepts. I don't blame human inability to understand the concept but indoctrination and their virus of the mind.

  • well, that's assuming each typist doesn't notice and correct his errors, something DNA does regularly

  • haha. this kid is such a tool

  • 20 billion times. does that mean there are 20 billion generations seperating cows and peas. thats not that many actually.

  • Not all Americans. And not ONLY americans. I remember seeing Dawkins interviewing a religous school princpal in G.B. I've seen creationist video from Pakistan and Turkey.

  • why are americans like you surprised by this information. its only the americans and idiots who dont accept natural selection.

  • You know, "The God Code" could also be considered "primarily linguistic interpretation," too. :P

  • You've read Zecharia Sitchin? He is not claiming a 'god' created us...but a race of beings from another planet through bio-engineering. This is not blind faith, but something put forward through research and evidence. Granted, the evidence is primarily linguistic interpretation...but it's more than a simple 'belief' we were molded from clay by an omnipotent deity.

  • ive looked... there isnt. other than religious folk claiming the evidence is right there you just have to believe in god, but thats not evidence.
