the new diesels engine are really good, lot of torque this 115hp has around 312nm at 1800rpm...how about that ?! TDI is dam good. there are 4 kind of 1.9 TDI 1rst: 100 hp 240nm, 2nd:115hp 315nm, 3rd:130hp 310nm, 4th:150hp 320 nm!!!!. you can see the difference with the color of TDI letter that is on the car back ,if all leeters are silver means 100hp, if TDI "I" red means 115 hp, if TDI"DI"red means 130hp, If TDI all red color means 150hp.

@lebediuc you are wrong, if all letters are silver means 90hp, and if the last "I" from TDI is red means 101hp, "DI" red 115 hp, and all red is 130 hp (for MK4),

the air from this filter is to hot, because its not in the front of that car!
-
@lebediuc you forget 90 and 110hp TDI...but common rail. There are 6 kinds of 1.9TDI
-
lol. why would you wanna do that to a diesel?

Ugly sounddd ...

@xXGoLFGTiXx He will find that piece of rubbish slows his car down and damages the turbo and inlet valves. Taking a cat off upsets the exhaust temperature, so gases don't flow out as fast. People like boy racers make a lot of mistakes as they know nothing about gasflow, filtration or engines. They SLOW DOWN their own cars which is quite funny. A large intercooler is not always an advantage and the best exhaust is the one on the car. You sound like a victim of sales teams! "sport" is the clue!
-
@julianpoker you are correct! He is not using a filter, it has a small surface area so needs huge holes in it to pass half the amount of air as a large paper element. That also allows bits of dirt in to the turbo, so it sandblasts it and causes pitting and corrosion. The standard filter does not restrict flow of air as it is oversized and 12times the surface area. Those products are a con by companies using clever sales teams who lie to people that know nothing about car engines!!! Don't!!
-
oh dear, that is NOT a filter. The surface area is 12times smaller than the paper filter. So the holes in it need to be at least 12+ times bigger, which allows dirt in to damage your turbo and engine. It does nothing for performance either as the paper element is far bigger than it needs to be and passes more filtered air than used at full RPM. So if you want to avoid sandblasting and give your car more power, put the original back, it will also be quieter. Don't fall for lies from sales people

Well done, it is a diesel.
You obviously don't know what a standard air box sounds like...

You're not really going to notice a difference with an air filter unless you carry out other engine mods, ie: de-cat, sports exaust, re-map, and larger intercooler (for turbo engines) but basicaly the better the engine can breath, it should provide you with a better throttle response.

but i heard it destroyes your turbo...

I've NEVER heard that...
I'm a member of a Mrk 4 club with countless members owning TDi's ranging from 90's to 150Bhp models. Before the mods I have carried out my turbo was cutting out (TDi's have a failsafe) since my de-cat, intercooler and airfilter, she's running like a dream.
