Follow the processes involved in the design, construction and use of a small pillar drill.
Continuing in the spirit of Gingery, castings are produced using lost foam, the rack for a rack and pinion is fly cut, a 2mm keyway is cut, a spring is designed and wound. All the parts are machined to produce a small rigid framed pillar drill suitable for printed circuit board drilling or drilling jobs requiring the use of very small diameter twist drill bits,
Outstanding work.. May make one myself but useing PLA printer casting blanks.

In most of the English speaking world, including the country lhat gave it it's name, pronounce "H" as haitch. We, in the colonies mispronounce it. Please also learn that they say "Zed" for Z. Stop nitpicking and enjoy the skill and craftsmanship

Excellent, but please learn that the eighth letter of the English alphabet is pronounced "aitch" and not "haitch". HSS = aitch ess ess.

I would suggest that you could mount a light under the table to illuminate the PC board from below and make it much easier to see where you want to drill. The light would shine through a small hole in the table inline with the drill bit. Good job on the drill.
