Barring injury, nobody will be able to stay with Kvitova within a year or less. Every stroke in the book. Soft hands. No weaknesses. She has beaten everyone in the top thirty except Schiavone, whom she has not played yet. Everybody becomes a retriever when playing Petra. A little more maturity... a little better fitness... and the rest of the girls might as well default before the match!!!

@moving3up Kvitova's strokes are better, they are flat-er, more instinctual, hit in a smashlike fashion, that's why they are riskier. They rob the opponents of time.

While Lisicki's strokes are topspin, safe, high percentage -- but predictable & high bounce also, giving time for an opponent to set up and to launch an offensive shot. Any high-bouncing or floating shot is always vulnerable to attack. Common sense to all who can play tennis
