This would be a close race, what with the WRX weighing ~750lb less. Personally, I'd take the 3000GT VR-4 over the WRX no matter what, the Mitsu GTO has style and class, the WRX is and always has been an unattractive, to say the least, car. The engineering may be solid, well, except for the head gasket issues Subaru's had with the 2.5L Phase I and Phase II motors, but, there aren't a lot of people willing to sacrifice style for a reasonably powerful engine...I know I wouldn't

VR4 seems to be dogging a little...maybe has some boost leaks or something...definitely seems stock. Should smoke the WRX if that was stock but im guessing its not

VR-4 beats wrx.. only way thats not true is if the wrx is modded and the VR-4 isnt.. that or bad driving..

@MrAleksgirl How about you get your facts straight? Because a WRX without the premium package, is rated at around 3080 lbs. A 3500 lbs. WRX? Really? That would make the Power to Weight Ratio of the WRX 1 HP/15.4 lbs. You think a car can run a 5.4 - 5.6 60 with a 15.4 lbs. ratio? Hahah.
Get your facts straight, before you try to talk down to other people. You ignorant kid.
Subaru > Mitsubishi.
Besides, an STI would smoke a VR4.

u do know both are awd right? so why would the wrx win off the line? wrx is a cheap plastic pos and the 3kgt is a gt cruiser. i'd rather be seen in my vr4 than a wrx any day

hahahaha, i love when I tell people I have a VR4 and they're still surprised when I roll up in a 3000GT. "ohhh I thought you had a volkswagen, this is sick."...... etc.
