@BEZIK2K9 This is due to the complete disregard & contempt by Manchester City Council & Greater Manchester Police, both towards and for the people of this community, who having had to endure many such acts of anti-social behaviour over several years,. have been very badly let down and neglected, so much so that people in this community are living in fear and will not report what they see and have become very cynical when the response they get from the council is to undermine and descredit them

@BEZIK2K9 While I am fully aware of the Golden Lion Public House having been previously demolished to make way for flats, where this in the interim period was, as you correctly state, a building site, the fact remains that the Greater Manchester Police, Northwards Housing Wardens, as well as Manchester City Council, did not take sufficent action to ensure that the developers/building contractors properly secured the site from tresspasers (in this case, kids)

I remember that incident - this was one of 2 of the most serious fires that had happened in Harpurhey South/Kingsbridge Estate at around that time - it was caused because the developers had not properly secured the site to prevent youths from getting in and messing around - I had previously reported youths trespassing on the site to both the Police & the Northwards Housing Wardens on several occasions but no action was taken to secure the site and my concerns were not taken seriously
