Actually the one that came close to Ian Flemings James Bond was Timothy Dalton.. then Sean Connery then Pierce Brosan then Rodger Moore.. however the one actor that could have made a difference was in the movie that is closest to any james BOnd book and that George Lazenby in On Her majestys Secret Service...
