With all due respect to Frank Sinatra's fine Reprise recordings of this number - Bing totally outshines his one-time "student" on this one. (Crosby's commercial 45 of "Second Time" is equally masterful.) Thanks for posting this great moment from "High Time"!
After Bing died, Sammy Cahn said on a talk show that Bing asked him to write this song for Bing's second wife, Kathryn. Kathryn has said that Bing came home one day, put the song on the record player and said "what do you think of this?" He didn't say anything else. She had no idea until Sammy Cahn said that years later that Bing intended it for her.
Lovely song and great rendition by Bing Crosby - thanks for posting
