This is the free-range mouse that comes by to visit my babies. Usually I see him late at night, but this time I was fortunate to get him on video in daylight. Here he is helping himself to some of the Quaker oats that have been pushed just outside the wire mesh of Mooshika's cage.
Update #3: this past week Ralph appears to have permanently moved in with the fancy mice. Initially it was part time, but the past few days he seems to be in there 'round the clock. He's also probably not a "he", but I'll keep referring to him that way, because there's just something masculine about barging in uninvited and declaring one's territory.

Update #2: Ralph failed to remain in the cage. Or succeeded in getting out of it. Guess he's just not ready to settle down.

Update: I've moved Mooshika in with the others, with a minimum of bloodshed, and left cage #2 open for Ralph. He moved right in and is trying out the domestic life for a while. If he is unhappy in a day or so I'll release him.
