  • Can you explain me one very important thing, namely why I don't will be happy using video clips (from the cam) for web ? (online) ??? because I really not understand your statement, after all I can convert between different video format, and I can choose the one, which will be best for me ? where is the problem ? please explain me - but please, no one word response :) I please for more ....

  • The clips don't look good on the web. Although since I did the review, I found that of the video formats, if you save to MPEG2 they are more acceptable.

  • Great video and I am also getting this Canon. What kind of camera you are using yourself ?

  • I use a Sony VX2100. I like the look of mini-DV tape. I have not been happy with AVCHD results online.

  • imovie 09 is awesome and works flawlessly with my hf-100. i will admit 08 sucks tho

  • I know this is kind of an old video, but these cameras can be found for a lot cheaper now. In the vid its mentioned that its hard to backup these big 1gig/2gig/3gig files.. really? DVD Burners cost $30 now and a 100-pack costs like $20? Takes 5-10 mins to burn a DVD? Not hard compared to just keeping tapes around

  • Yeah most software is compatible w/ avchd now

  • things have moved on quite a bit since this vid was made , i use a dell studio xps with 8 gig of ddr3 ram and a 1 gig nvidia graphics card , the editing software is pinnacle studio 12 ultimate , and to be honest , the editing is realy easy with that set up , everything works as it should , and yes i have a hf 100 and the youtube hd vids are superbe , just create the movie file in divX 16.9 , and you should get the same results as me

  • I have a top of the range macpro with adobe CS4 package (including premiere pro) and it will not edit without jumps and clicks and jitters. Its driving me crazy and I don't know what to do about it!

  • Nero 8 Ultra edition works with AVCHD and is easy to use,...FYI

  • Hi,

Is there any chance of an updated video now there are a lot more options for editing AVCHD.

    Thanks

  • this is a great camcorder. no problem. once you convert the video with the program that comes with the camcorder, u can use any video editing program u wish to use. when u plug the hf10 2 the computer, once u save the file 2 the computer u then open up the program that came with the hf10, click browsin & authoring, click video u want, click file, click export, set destination 2 save file, click export to computer. then it saves to computer as a regular video that u can edit w/any video program
