Clarinetist Garrick Zoeter performs Mark Kuss' Quintet for Clarinet and String Quartet "Slave Songs and Spirituals" from a July 2010 Monadnock Music Festival performance in Peterborough, NH. The performance here is of the last four movements:

Religion So Sweet
Many Thousand Go
Musieu Bainjo
Nobody Knows the Trouble I've Had

The final movement is an especially poignant movement. The work is based on a set of African American spirituals.

Garrick Zoeter, Clarinet
Adela Pena, Violin
Gabriela Diaz, Violin
Stephanie Fong, Viola
Jing Li, Cello
