It was on the sound track for a movie based on the book of the same name written by a famous writer whose name escapes me. I actually read the book in high school
terrafirm, this was released as the b-side to "Superstar" and included on the "A Song For You" album. Based on airplay alone, the song hit the Billboard Top 100 without being an official single. I believe that the radio focus was on "Superstar" though.
Karen Carpenter has sung some of the most beautiful and melodic songs ever. It is so true....bless the beast & children...the joy & pure energy of animals & kids is something we can all learn from. Thanks for posting this vid!
Karens voice is so resonant and so present. Her voice has a way of connecting very very deep within me...I'm sure others would agree...she is just magical on this song...and really, such a beautiful vibrato in her voice...there will never be another singer like Karen Carpenter.
