My vertical milling column finally arrived. This is about mounting and testing it. Unfortunatelly its inch. I ordered metric. Funny thing is there's no mounting screws. By chance I found suitable screws in my junkyard. I had always problems obtaining flat surfaces, perfect corners. Now I can do them. will convert this sherline mill to CNC. But this mill needs to build part for itself... www.sherlineforum.com

  • @getatecnologia: sherline is great product. Its very strong. Maybe its too much for just pcb operation. and its movement area can be small for larger boards. Where are some other machines called "router" for pcb drilling. You can check them out. In evry case at some point small size of that machines will be a problem but same problem exists also in routers. If you want desktop mill, I say get sherline. as I said before, routers are alternative. check them ebay.

  • @getatecnologia its all in ebay :) I got them piece by piece because I live in a damn country. If I get them all together as "lathe" or "mill" there's huge custom fees. If I get them piece by piece I pay nothing....

  • Vertical milling column of Sherline have lots of backlash. please pay attention to that. As I googling I read that A2Z is better in that issue.

music is from youtube library. youtube mostly blocks my music if I add on my computer.

  • hi, where did you buy the compound table xy, and the z axis? and how much for each one? thanks a lot . i intended to buy a proxxon compound table but i saw some bad videos on youtube. so i heard about sherline. any comments about that? i'll use for modifying some plastic box drilling some holes in thin aluminum and drilling circuit boards(when i upgrade it to a cnc ) thanks sorry for so many questions.

  • Shouldn't the mill column be trammed after assembly?

I am in the process of purchasing A2Z CNC upgrade parts for putting together a Monster Mill.

    Great video!

I like the music by the way, whats it called? :)

  • Good luck with your conversion!
