The issue here is not simply "sacrafice" there are many types of sacrfice. The real issue is INTENT. If a plane crashes and 150 die and later it is learned that a defective part caused the accident then those people "sacraficed" their lives so we could learn how to avoid the defect but it was not the intent of those people to die for this reason.

All major religion comes down to 3 priciples: humility, charity, and forgiveness. Love = giving, Hate= taking. This manifests itself in many forms.
