Oops, my bad. Confused G&G with someone else. G&G does make a SCAR-L, and it too is currently available.
I'd say it's a toss-up between the STAR and the VFC. I recently got a STAR M16A3, and it's a great solid gun. No word yet if STAR is going to be making black ones...
The VFC guns are, so far, the only model to use the correct FN-style mag instead of just a stock armalite mag. (The grooves are different) Also, the VFC comes in a bigass hard case. So, not bad.

Classic Army has a SCAR-L which is currently the only model available for purchase. (Other than all the cheap Chinese LPEGs)
The VFC SCAR-L is available in black and tan, with both barrels included...it was supposed to be out by now, but it still hasn't hit the market.
STAR has one coming and is making the EGLM which should fit all other SCAR-L models.
G&G does not in fact make a SCAR at this time.
afaik, STAR is the only one with a SCAR-H model in the works.

theyr making a normal SCAR too. G&G also has one now. STAR is releasing SCAR grenade launchers. If its not in black you can paint it black too...duh

Actually I have a CA scar (black), and yeah, it sucks...
Had a handfull of problems right out of the box.
