"Truckin' Little Baby" (Blind Boy Fuller). Excellent tabs for this piece by Steve J. McWilliam at http://www.consult-eco.ndirect.co.uk/guitar/tab.htm

I'm old. I remember the late '60s and early '70s and many depictions of this popular cartoon and slogan: http://12move.de/home/crumb/char_truckin.htm

The slogan, "Keep on Truckin'", was inspired by one of two Blind Boy Fuller tunes; either "Truckin' My Blues Away" (most likely), or the one that I'm playing on this video, "Truckin' Little Baby". I believe "Truckin'" to be Blind Boy's rhyming euphemism for the present participle of the ever popular "F" word. If you listen carefully to the lyrics of "Truckin' Little Baby", I think you will likewise agree.

When I was looking for a cabinet to keep my guitars in, I found, instead of a fake wood cabinet with glass doors, this large Cannon gun safe at Tractor Supply, for about the same price ($642.00). It has an electronic combination lock, is fire resistant (Intertek-ETL Verified - 1200° for 60 minutes) and weighs 620 lbs. I discarded all the gun racks and shelves, put a pad in the bottom, and made a guitar rack out of some scrap oak I had; and I plan to eventually install lighting, controlled by a refrigerator door switch.

This is way better than some fake wood cabinet; and I don't live in that good of a neighborhood anyway.

Played finger style on various resophonic guitars. Not featured was a fourth resophonic guitar I also still own, but which has been missing now almost fifteen years. This instrument is a nickel-plated, brass-bodied, Dobro model 90 "Duolian". It has a noticeable dent on the bottom of the lower bout, and an engraved palm tree on the back. If your conscience is bothering you, and you want to return it, or know where it is, please post here. There will be no questions asked, no ass kickings, and no criminal prosecutions; I would be overjoyed to get "Henrietta" back.

Note: I wear the ski mask because I'm otherwise famous, and don't want this to "get out".

  • Where do you get a safe like that? Good playing!

  • @bluegrassin I got it at Tractor Supply, and it was pretty reasonable I thought.

There is room within for five Resophonic guitars, but flat-tops are much larger, so I don't know. But a bunch of banjos, and mandolins would work for sure.

  • Puttin resonators in a safe aye?,Pretty crafty...

  • @jacksondemarre Maybe too crafty. For about a month and a half, both my Nationals have been locked inside a safe I can't get open. The only guitar I've got right now is my little Republic. I'm not complaining though. It's a fine guitar on its own. Glad it was outside when the safe mechanism failed.

  • u scare me

  • @leandeganis ¿Por qué tiene usted miedo? Muchos luchadores usan máscaras.

  • I've just fallen in Love with Cecilia, John mon ami...

Discovered your channel this afternoon at work while searching for some scapper tabs and stuff. Brilliant rendering and nice concept.

    And true neck mastering

    greetings from France

  • i didnt know the guy on delocated could play the guitar lol

  • @hoopiejohn no se.. esa vestimenta MAS la mascara me resulta a tipica pelicula de terror donde una pareja se va de vacaciones a un pueblo alejado y un asesino serial los persigue hasta lo ultimo jaja I think there is a popular film like this, but i can't remember which one is it

  • @mosddoomsday1 You're right. There is something special about the 12-string, and I'm not sure what it is. But maybe making 12-string resonator guitars is something that Dobro, National and various small-shop luthiers should have done more of in the past, and not less. I have been very pleased.

I had to order this guitar through Elderly , and at the time (and maybe still) National for certain models would build you one for a 15% upcharge over the price of the same 6-string model. Glad I did.
