Daddy was out when Mummy introduced Sam to this puzzlegame last night. Sam pestered Daddy to play it again today. Mummy had told Daddy that Sam was good at it, but Daddy wasn't quite prepared for how good. Sam understands all the rules completely and can do each level up to 10 independently.
Hopefully I'll be able to post another video of Sam's solution when he got REALLY stuck.
Anyway. This video is really just to show Granny and Granddad how much Sam is enjoying his Christmas present from them!!! [Edit: correction - we must thank Auntie Tracy and Uncle Mark. Whoops!] And as I type this, Sam won't go up for his afternoon sleep and has just completed levels 14, 15 and 16 on his own. He's better than Daddy! In this respect at least.
I would highly recommend any of the products in the Rush Hour series. This particular one is called Rush Hour Junior. It's made by the company ThinkFun - formerly Binary Arts. There are various versions available online, but I suspect the physical version is better for younger children.
