How is this song not optimistic, OldEchoes? If what I've heard is correct, this song is about Peter Gabriel pursuing a new chapter of his life after leaving Genesis. Seems pretty optimistic to me. Nercrophage is right. There isn't enough heart and raw emotion in music anymore. The pop stars out there today have other intentions, such as money and fame. I bet half of the time they don't even know what they're singing about!

Look at these guys, running around, dancing, and they have those huge smiles on their faces, you know they're having fun, enjoying making the music, doing their own thing. THAT is what its all about, not money, not perfection but enjoying the miracle that is music, expressing yourself, and just doing your own thing. If more people realized this we would have more Peter Gabriels, and Pink Floyds and Gensis...es(?) rather than nickelbacks and three days graces...
