Soundproof Home Studio Music Room Tour New

Soundproofing home studios. Building soundproof walls correctly can be expensive and time consuming. Walls and ceiling are almost 8 inches thick with single layer 5/8 drywall on the outside, and a double layer inside. Cotton fiber insulation, 1 pound mass loaded vinyl, Soundclips every 20-24 inches, 7/8 furring channels. inner drywall is mounted to channels and 2nd layer is attatched using green glue. Home Studio is mounted to foundation and does not make contact with main structure. Soundproof Room inside an existing room. Door leakage is the only weakness, but easy to correct. Air conditioning provides ventilation.
