@ludemedia it's not propaganda do some research. Shell shock usually only lasted about 72 hours it wasn't long-term contrary to popular belief and dumb movies. 90% of people with shell shock returned to their unit within days...

There must have been huge alcoholism, domestic violence and other dysfunctional behavior after WW1 due to the intense and protracted trauma experienced by combatants and civilians. There were many amputees and otherwise maimed and blinded veterans who after returning home and finding themselves unemployable ended up on the streets. In a new HELL. At home. Wonder if any research has been done in this regard?
