Wuyi Lu, Urumqi

We popped down to Wuyi Lu night market yesterday evening, taking in a bit of Uighur dancing class and Tibetan singing at Peoples' Park en route. The Wuyi Lu street stalls start gearing up after 20:00, the workers first gathering in side streets, then rolling out the lino and arranging the tables and chairs. At 20:30 sharp, the road is closed to traffic, the stallholders rush to their allocated spaces, and the eating commences!
