A pod of 200-ish Risso's Dolphins deep in Monterey Bay. Two days after that big storm on Oct 14th. Google "Pelorus Jack" for a lovely story on one of these critters. They turn white as they age - the way we gray. In this vid you can see them breaching and lumbering a long. We were only about 3 miles out of Monterey Bay Harbor. Our new friend Jay was sailing behind us in his new boat (the white one in the video with both sails up) Nice shot of his Islander 29. We were sailing Funkadelic, our Roberts 434 back up to Tomales Bay from the Channel Islands.
