And a conductor's job is not to tap the beat for you, their job is to shape and phrase the musical line. No more middle school orchestra conducting .

You have to understand that this is a professional orchestra, not a youth or middle school orchestra you play in. Only middle school orchestra is where you find conductors beating floor, door, window, ceiling or vanilla pattern.

yes the result is good, but is it any wonder that conductors complain at not being followed?. his stick technique is terrible, there is no discernable beat in it. I would have to ignore it and follow the music, as I have had to do in the orchestra (I am abass player) many times over the years.
if they want to be followed GIVE A CLEAR BEAT. If they cant they will take the consequences
