@sirsahil mate hate to break it to u but england has resources but it's cheaper to import they use our own and ultimately benefits developing countries i.e. india and china also we were the 6th biggest economy in 2010 (india was 9th). also if england didnt colonise india then u wouldnt hv english law, english language (the language of trade) and india wouldnt be a democracy. im not saying that its was perfect but india cld well be worse off if we hadnt colonised. also u seem to be just as racist

@n33dhead on a less agressive tone, india is in a sort of arms race with china and its is still in a conflict with pakistan. A goverments jobs is primarily to defend the nation, feeding the population is obviously also important but with 1.1billion people its going to take a much longer time to raise the per capita gdp to bring them out of poverty, feeding them is all well and good but it is treating the symptomes and not the unlying cause; poverty which is a much harder thing to do.
