  • omg u never break in like that

  • like how?

  • Hey, is your break working good ?

Because my break is too week :) Replaced the spring on the servo rood and put a plastic gas line from spare gas line! Still too week

    What did you do ?

  • put the original spring and cut a 5 millimetres piece of the fuel line, then tighten the nut as mutch as possible. This works for my savage and I get a powerful brake.

  • What camera are you using ?

  • Canon PowerShot A720 IS

The reason is because it's showing you that's how you break in a car for the first time you start because you need to let the piston loosen up so you can full throttle it after you broke it in and tune it so it can perform at it's best

  • The reason you have the car elevated off the ground is because it's needs to have no pressure on the new engine so if you were to put it on the ground it would be moving forwards and the engine would be having loads of pressure since a new nitro engine has a very tight piston so it wreck the engine completed so after say 2 tanks of fuel of the ground it would of loosened a bit since the engine is warm and metal expands when warm so the piston wouldn't be as tight as it would when it's brand spa

  • do u have to empty the whole tank? :O

  • In case you didn't notice, I'm not showing the whole brake-in in this video, only one clip. I broke the car in with 3 full tanks tires up in the air and then with 1 full tank and half gas rollin 5 meters straight and then turned and another 5 meters straight and turned until the tank was empty. Then with 1 tank the same as before rolling but half gas for a while and full gas for a while. Then I tuned the car.

  • Car motors are very finicky, you can't break them in like airplane motors. But I would be using a thermal gun so you know when you are reaching correct temperature.

And yes 4-5 tanks before any hard driving.

Those without the patience are going to have a weak motor and be forever tuning trying to get the power back.

  • dont break in like that u gotta have wheels on the ground so it gets useto the weight its supposed to carry any way u got a nitro car why not drive it thats boring

  • @HpiBlitzRazing no you suposed to have the wheels of the ground for the first few tanks without the wheels spinning :)

  • @jheknight when you break in your car you not supose to have the wheels of the grownd your supose to put it on the grownd and slowly move around

  • @zippynfc thats hoq your susspoed to

  • He is doing it right acording to hpi getting started guide you dont even use your radio you adjust the throttle manualy a quarter turn so the wheels do have to spin follow the hpi dvd thats the best way of doing it
