This is cool but I would have fallen flat on my ass after about 10 seconds trying to attempt this.

This ritual has very old ancient Turkic roots. Comes from the idea that one gets into a state of mind (OZLAŞMAK) and let his soul "pass" to the Gök Tanrı (Sky God) in a spinning sense. This was the belief in the requiems when the dead body is burned so that a good khan will be passed to the Sky God by changing it's form from body to soul (OZLAŞMAK). The same ritual can be seen in Maya civilization.

No Ala literally means the Earth like mother earth, respect for the ecology is the most important thing for them and the whole belief system came from Romans in that without air and water, all the different religions and races and creeds could not even kill each other over nothing...
That's why I like them a lot they are very peaceful and their music and art is very beautiful and meaningful...

Does it really matter though? I mean I'm a Buddhist and my understanding is that every system of belief, every ideology is on some level holding to a portion of, or interpretation of their own understanding of the truth. Even if Allah is really Ala is really Yahweh is actually Baal or Osiris, the point is still the same.

No that's the whole point of it being in resonance with Ala the African Earth Deity, its the reason that they can claim Arianism by the presbyter of Arius, which states that the son is better than the father, so its an off shoot of militant Islam which is a form of disciplined martial spiritual law based on rejection of the savageness of western culture, And it is like Meta physical cults like Hari Krishna's we have Angel Cults in America and they have sober/clean cults there.

your comment seems to have no basis in reality. sufi whirling originated in turkey, not rome, and much later after the fall of the roman empire.

Its another roman leftover from when man was more tolerant and accepting of other cultures, races, and ways of life...
I think Sufi is kind of like monks and nuns , but it is internally from what I can tell as an outside observer and not an internal participant a gay holy mans religion like pre 3rd century catholic monk and monastery writings and books...It would be hard for them to have descendants so I think they take care of city's and country's like Celestial Beings...

This is quite beautiful. I wish I has such commitment.

That was toooo funny!!
Actually this is an Islamic tradition of Sufism, a very devout type of Muslim faith, (not like Sunni or Shii, but just a style of faith)as a Catholic, I have respect and appreciation for a beautiful expression of faith to God.
