Patti Smith "You Light Up My Life" on "Kids Are People Too"

I'm going through my music videotapes from the 1980s and posting things that I don't find here currently. Maybe only one or two people might be looking for some of these, but those people should be very happy.
The American Broadcasting Company used to have a show back in the 80s called "Kids Are People Too" that had some surprising guests. Patti appeared on it with Joe Brooks and sang his song "You Light Up My Life".

I am reading a book called Easter Rising, which is an autobiography of an Irish Southie family and as the author talks about his introduction to the punk scene of the 70's, he mentioned seeing Patti singing You Light Up My Life on a children's show. That was just too surreal of an idea just to make up, so I had to search it out and sure enough, thanks to YouTube and Postingoldtapes, here it was for me to see. Amazing!

she said it was 1979. the song came out in 1977.

joe brooks never went to trial...he committed suicide before another pre-trial hearing on may 22, 2011. his son, nicholas brooks, has been charged with murdering his gf, syvie cachay at soho house on dec 9, 2010. he is in riker's island awaiting trial, which is set to commence soon.
