this short is a metaphor of Grundge music fighting Glam rock
-
I love the music at 4:30

I totally want Final Fantasy III (VI) to be drawn in this style.

Wow. Man, I grew up with this. It was still my favorite part of the show.

this might be the most 80s thing I've ever seen
-
It's like a sci fi fairy tale. ^-^

Robot Carnival was the very first anime I ever saw. (Not including americanized stuff like transformers and speed racer) That was back when Sci-Fi channel used to show "Saturday anime". Robot Carnival, Akira, Vampire Hunter D, Iria, Armitage, 8-man, Rojin Z, TONS of 80s classics. Geez, I was probably nine or ten, so that was seventeen years ago.

Those were days...i miss good anime like this

Dude, I used to watch these back in the day( about the age of 8) I'm 23 now.
next time you try to watch some bullshit modern anime where they stand around talking spamming nonsense dialogue for 15-20 minutes at a time, remember DEPRIVE and remember what anime is really supposed to be about.

All of the Robot Carnival shorts were masterpieces of anime, but this one stuck with me for 20 years for some reason. It's just so powerful, a potent little does of '80s rock and cyberpunk wrapped up in a neat little story.
