  • @makanmata - I have the following review of you and your pomposity, makanmata: You write like a DUNCE and your comprehension is worse! Only a fool and/or, a poseur pontificates about topic MUSIC which transends politics. Your 'standards' are of no significance and you are irrelevant. I am always amazed how imbeciles like you feel a need to post inane, non-sequitur and deranged 'thoughts' on YouTube which is meant to entertain. YOU are the antithesis of entertainment (Take your meds).

  • @MsJollycholly Its not merely my standards of knowledge that you do not meet, and you seem to concede that you are ignorant of this subject matter. I don't understand why you therefore felt the need to comment on a topic in which you admit you don't know anything about -- and in doing so gave credit to England for developing Bossa Nova. Also, I'm sorry if my use of the English language also went over your head, but I was using the word "conspiracy" in its figurative, and not its literal sense.

  • @makanmata forgive me that I do not meet your standards of musical expertise (s) but I don't intent to justify why I commented, in earnest, about the music which I enjoyed growing up and still enjoy immensely. I don't live in S.America or England, yet I can certainly appreciate the musical genuises from BOTH countries. Your knowledge of Brazil's geography is no excuse for your misplaced hubris which prevents you from doing the same. Your paranoia about 'conspiracy' is sad and pathetic.

  • @MsJollycholly What a truly uninformed and provincial comment. You are confusing later Tropicalismo with Bossa Nova. Bossa was developed within 1 sq. km of the center of Ipanema, Rio de Janeiro. Listening to masterworks like this, one wonders how much culturally richer the world would be today had the dictatorship and English teenie-bopper music not conspired to prevent Bossa -- and not the Beatles (the Bieber of the 60s) and such -- from becoming the dominant cultural force in the world.
