Dashcam captures fatal police encounter

The dash camera in a Mountainair police car recorded tragedy as it unfolded from a traffic stop through gunfire and a pursuit that spared the suspect but left a woman and her grandson dead.

unjustified. he was not threatened. I hope this cop never works another day. All you cops out there that want to bully citizens take to heart the fact that lives are lost everyday because people don't do the right thing. This cop first told the kid that he was going to beat him up if he didnt listen. Right there trust flew out the window, next in an attempt to flee a direct threat ( A man willing to do physical harm to you) the cop shoots at him.

He is to serve and protect. He verbally tells the guy he is going to put him on the ground and beat him up. Bad move, first he just caused two people to die because of his glass jaw. second because he just pissed off an already pissed off what seemed to me drug addict.

Ok so I went too far with the Saddam comment. I admit my fault , yes we invaded with his abuse as one of the many reasons. Still our law enforcement has power over us. No Law enforcement officer should ever threaten a citizen. If he does he should be immediately relieved of his duties.

They have seconds to act, we have years to pick apart their actions. Here's the analysis from a liberal Canadian guy who doesn't like guns:

He did the right thing. He aimed to disable the vehicle by shooting out the tires. There was no chance an innocent bystander would have been hurt. What were the chances of an innocent bystander being hurt or killed by the suspect's actions? 2 to 1. Chief, next time, aim for the driver's seat.
