Turn up your speakers, plug in your headphones, Winding Road has made an exhaust note comparison video!
We drive the 2011 two-door Volkswagen GTI with the stock exhaust against a 2010 four-door Volkswagen GTI with an aftermarket Magnaflow cat-back exhaust. Both have six-speed manual transmissions.
Which do you prefer, and what are your thoughts on adding aftermarket exhausts to new cars that some may feel are too quiet?
@tariqsuhail93 yeap, it also depends on what item u getting

How does the magna flow sound when the car is at idle & start up? Is it louder than the stock exhaust?

@STABT1 best thing about a res'd catback is there is minimal to no highway drone, assuming you're between 1000-2000rpms

keep in mind this catback is on a stock downpipe, a 3" aftermarket catless DP is gonna make that growl a little louder, and a lot meaner.

Definitely the white one. That's the exact car I have (4dr candy white). Getting my magnaflow tomorrow!

I think that Magnaflow sounds cool if you don't drive too much in the city or if you take the car for short drives, because on a long trip the noise might be annoying.
