While no video or photo can ever do justice to the amazing and life changing experience that is volunteering at Sadhana Forest in Auroville, Tamil Nadu, India, this walk-through at least can give you a feel for the community.

After spending 2 weeks there, I can honestly say I left a changed man and still dream of returning there to volunteer again one day. For more on my personal experience and stories of life at Sadhana Forest, check out http://www.adventuresofagoodman.com/blog/2009/03/25/

ABOUT SADHANA FOREST

Sadhana Forest is a volunteer, intern and student based community of Auroville, Tamil Nadu, India. The community provides volunteers interns and students with free accommodation in exchange for work in the forest.

Sadhana Forest started its ecological revival and sustainable living work on December 19th 2003.

The vision of its founders, Yorit and Aviram Rozin, is to transform 70 acres of severely eroded, arid land on the outskirts of Auroville. In a spirit of human unity, their aim is to introduce a growing number of people to sustainable living. Our energy and resources are focused on the creation of a vibrant, indigenous Tropical Dry Evergreen Forest (TDEF).
