  • @judypriv This song was written in 1944 by Donald Gardner, a second grade teacher. He asked his class what they wanted for Christmas and noticed that most of them were missing front teeth. The song was originally recorded by Spike Jones & His City Slickers in 1948 and it hit #1. This version by Danny Kaye & The Andrews Sisters is a good one.
