Its true they are not the same standard as the likes of Russia, Bulgaria or even France, Spain or Italy, but this is not their fault. If Rhythmic Gymnastics were not so underfunded in the UK and was given the recognition, support and funding it needs (and was actually recognised by the masses as A SPORT!) our girls could really do us proud

@Martzius65 where did you get the "because they are not even worthy to participate" part from? I never said that. I hate to sound rude and dont mean to offend you, but your sentences dont make sense. I agree that nobody expects Great Britain to win a gymnastics medal(particularly a rythmic one)and it would be so nice to see them shock the world and do it. Is that basically what you're trying to say?

If they are not allowed to enter the Olympics, it's a triumph for the sickening "If you're not expected to get a medal, you don't deserve to have the chance to compete" mentality that is completely contrary to the spirit of the Olympics and also risks damaging sport development.

it's nice to see that the UK has a group in this competition. i also think that the girls do have a lot of talent but i totally disliked the choreography...they could have had a much better score with a different choreo i believe.

So let me get this straight- they had to get the score they needed to be considered for the Olympics in QUALIFICATIONS- not both rounds, not finals, but qualifications. BOA's a bunch of idiots.

@The2bfamous Britain does not want to associate his own team of rhythmic gymnastics at the Olympic Games because they based exclusively on the perspective of the results! And this is against the spirit and ideals of the sport! These girls, who have this dream and the opportunity to accomplish in their own country, how they react from a psychological standpoint, if you will not be called "because they are not even worthy to participate"?

@rhythmicsprite isnt the whole idea to be original? They were miles away from olympic standard i completely agree, but what makes performances good is the uniqueness of it.
