Part of WorldStove's prototyping process

Almost as much fun as playing in a stream or in the mud... actually, it's kinda like doing both but best of all you get parts that are free from internal stresses and distortions because the water cools as it cuts; this is key for the fine turning of the fluid dynamics of the new Luicapq. Once perfected, mass production is done with low tech cutting for low numbers, cnc laser cutting for medium numbers, and numbers with a press for high production.

  • As far as I know abrasives are added to the water as well in order to perform the cut. Unfortunately the vertical slats also need to get replaced after a while. All in all still a cool process though! :)

    Peace.

  • you never have to worry about a dull blade this way plus it leaves no burrs on the metal. the wonders of water! great video!

  • Ain't technology great! I like how the machine cuts with so much precision, that you don't waste any metal.

Great video, looking forward to more!

  • How many linear meters do they get out of one nozzle?

  • so, what's the lucia pq? I haven't heard mention of that yet... the process is cool, though.

  • Yup...That's a very cool process :o)

  • Does the water get recycled?or reused in the same machine? cool video
