  • According to Terry Funk's book...Maeda was fired from All Japan because of that, and Choshu never sought real life revenge for it.

  • Indeed he was fired for this, but it happened in New Japan ;)

  • I have watched ROH, and while I like a handful of their workers, overall it isn't to my taste. I prefer Puroresu myself, but to each their own I guess.

  • What attitude? I responded to your comment in a very clear and articulate manner without bashing you or your opinion. Not everyone likes ROH, it's just a matter of preference.

  • Are you retarded? He had his opponenet in a submission, and even if Hadnt, Maeda still stiffed him with a legit kick. There is no excuse for that.

  • damn. vicious shot.

  • Who were all the participants in this match?

  • @harrisbrownable Was there legit heat between the two?

  • @jonnyboy5000: Actually, KENTA is just doing what he is supposed to do. It's his style both to give and receive stiff kicks to the head. I'm just a bit surprised, considering how stiff Japan usually is, that this got Maeda in trouble... maybe it hadn't become as stiff back then.

  • @Barmyandlight Agreed, plus it makes less sense to hurt the guy now than back then cause people know its fake for sure by now, KENTA's a bit of a dick about that shit :(

  • he took that like a champ, keeping his head in the game... a real-life no-sell! ;)

  • @DefLeppardVanHalen In Terry's book he claims that "Maeda's a better man than I am. If he had kicked me full out like that, I think I'd have needed a few minutes alone with him to 'discuss' things."

  • @brnleague99 That and Maeda refused to go on an excursion to Mexico.

  • maeda sayama

  • Frankly, this would be business as usual for KENTA. He must have been given the green light to do this, because otherwise he would have been fired many, many times over. There are montages of KENTA doing precisely this.
