Preview - Let's Play Professor Layton and the Curious Village

I'm considering doing this game. As you can see I have fun with it.

I won't begin this until I finish FE or FF8, of course, but since I will / may do this I'd like to get some thoughts
- Recording Screens. Should I record both, or just bottom where the game is played? The top is mostly unused.
- The Mouse. Should I show it? It can get in the way of cutscenes and stuff, but if it's not there it can make things a little more difficult to understand when I'm moving or collecting coins.
- Squish. I can squish the screens to make them "bigger" so you don't have to view full-screen in order to read anything.
- Voices. It's a puzzle game that's partially self voiced; there's no way I can live up to people's expectations of certain voices. Ya want voicing?

One thing, I think you should use a program called "No$Zoomer." I found it on a forum and it's great for No$GBA 2.6a. It gets rid of that bar in the middle and you're able to make the screen bigger and change the volume and various other things...

That seems to crash this game for me, for whatever reason. Works fine with Megaman and Kirby, but not this.

Screens: Both its nice if you can read along.

The mouse: Show it, i don't really matter if its on screen during a cutscene.

Squish: Don't, the text is big enough you can easly read it.

Voices: Its one of the reasons i watch your lets play's so please (try to) do the voices!!

Anyway, child, you don't get to declare what a LP is. That is bigger than you. We will LP, and watch LPs of, whatever games we choose. If you don't like that, tough.

If you don't like someone LPing this game, then don't watch the vids. It is that simple.

Since you didn't finish FE or FF8, I suppose the "voting" is still on. Therefore, I vote for both screens, visible mouse, no squishing and (OF COURSE) voice acting.

This is the first time I am not late for the voting (unless you started the LP, stopped it and erased the episodes).

An LP is NOT a walkthrough. It's not supposed to tell you how to play the game. It shows how the LPer plays the game. There is really no "right" way to play some games, and that's why every LP is different. LPs are watched when someone finishes a game and would like to see others play it. Why else would people say things like "Don't use that character, he has terrible stats" and "I never thought of that!" instead of "i attacked the final boss head like he blablabla"

Well my favorite type of LP is RPG LPs, everybody has a differant preferance which is why there is no bad idea fo Let's plays, they are only the viewers opinions and that is all they ever will be.

Your an insult to the name of Let's play, now some people don't like certain types of games, I understand this, but you cannot just say the LP will be bad because its a puzzle game, because even if the puzzle is spoiled for them its there own damn fault for watching the let's play, they should expect spoilers if watching it and this is where I bring the "you dont have to watch it" responce, it is your own fault if you are spoiled because you watch it, not the LPer, YOU!

You aren't paying money to watch these videos nor is anyone forcing you to watch them. Not to mention McGammar's video description said "I'm considering doing this game". So there's a chance he WON'T do LP this game. So just chill out man.

Your point dosn't make sense if you simple STOP WATCHING. It dosn't take someone with a high IQ to work out that if you simple stopped watching to stop ruining it for yourself, your argument falls flat!. Also, the idea of LPing a puzzle game has been done MANY times before. Go watch DCrabs stuff, a large chunk of his LP's are indie games with one way to play, thats ruining it but people watch becouse they WANT to watch. If they didn't, they wouldn't. Not hard.

I beat this game the other day I got the second one. THIS GAME IS AWESOME (in my opinion but...) WOOHOO! Bolt you are even MORE awesome (and that is hard to pull off)
