  • @delagrazia these are called "okobo" and it's traditional for a maiko to wear them ^^

  • @freacls Hi you are correct abt the geisha and hangyoku off Tokyo and the maiko and geiko off Kyoto dont have as trict rules ass for maybe 50 years ago. In Tokyo they can carry cellphone more often then in Kyoto, (only when they arent at work and are out. They do ahve acess to comuters a\int he okiya iff the okiya have one, the okasan(mother) will possibly helpt hem get theyre online high school diplomas. Few maikos and geishas are english speaking but u can read the blogs off okiya/maiko/geiko.

  • i think the rules of the modern Geishas arnt so strict now i heard that today geishas carry cell phones [and they can text ]and some have acces to a pc it be so cool talking to a real english speaking geisha if i knew any i could send her the video Tokyo girl

    They filmed also at Harvard University so it could be there :)
