This is Bob Curnow's arrangement of Minuano by Pat Metheny performed by the Berkeley Jazzschool Studio Band "A" directed by Keith Johnson at the Next Generation Jazz Festival in Monterey.
Soloist is Ben Kreitman (Trumpet)
This was the opening song in the performance that earned us first place in the Conglomerate division at the jazz festival. We will be performing in the Monterey Jazz Festival in September.

@connroe98k i cannot imagine that any artist would be upset that others enjoy their music enough to play it.

@connroe98k Hey, this got them 1st place in their division at Monterey, and the band has continued to have 1st place at this festival for 3 straight years, it's just opinion, these are only high school students, and it's played quite well for this kind of group!

@connroe98k hmmm. Although you are entitled to your own opinion, I believe it differs heavily from that of almost everyone else who saw this performance...

This is possible the worst playing of this song i have ever heard! That trumpet solo roughly 4 minutes in was god aweful, completely ruined the momentum. And the rythym section was quite vapid. Very little enthusiasum from any band member. A truley shitty performance, Metheny would be kicking himself in the head if he heard your band perform this chart
