MIRROR'S EDGE 2 a.k.a. FAITH in REAL LIFE

(I spent ages fiddling the video, I uploaded about 10 test videos to try and iron out the kinks, but it looks like a horrible blocky mess in normal quality, so do yourself a favour and watch in high quality if it lets you!)

I was at work yesterday and saw a small red crate sitting all by itself next to a pile of Xbox 360s. It had a distinct Mirror's Edge look about it so I decided to jump off it over the 360s.

Then I got a camera and asked the other guys at work to join in. They didn't take much persuading.

10 Random facts about the video:

1) I did three runs, each was one single take to make it feel like the game, but the first one was still almost perfect and I could've happily used it if I had no other choice. Nonetheless, I did one more, so...

2) In order to keep things flowing, I cut and joined the two videos together seamlessly in a way that would make it look like one long shot. **SEE IF YOU CAN SPOT THE CUTS! THE WINNER WILL GET 'NUFF RESPECT!** Simply leave a comment with the times you thought the cut(s) occurred.

3) The music was taken from some ogg rips I found on the newsgroups.

4) The sound effects were all recorded in-game (turned music and voice-overs off). This was the fun bit, as I had to do things like killing all the enemies in a room and leaving one standing so I could get individual sound effects and voices, and running around and stopping in quiet places to get the different footstep speeds

5) It's taken me an entire day just to edit this 40-second clip :(

6) I'm a dude, which makes it slightly weird, what with Faith's voice and that.

7) The first guy with the impossibly smiley face reminds me of the character models in Goldeneye on the N64.

8) I was wearing a red t-shirt, but you wouldn't have known this from the video.

9) I nearly broke my face on the broom handle during the single impromptu rehearsal we went through.

10) No crates were harmed during the making of this video. Ok, maybe just the one...

I actually forgot, but luckily I posted a comment a year ago with the cuts:

"CUT #1: 0:14 just before I run between the two green cages, and the lighting changes slightly

CUT #2: 0:30 when the camera spins around and you see the yellow blur of boxes

There were no cuts in the obvious places (where the screen flashes or there's sudden movement)."
