Ok , I WOULD like to give my opinion about tostadas as well , but before I do that I wanto to congratulate gustavo arellano about his ASK A MEXICAN space.

Ok now, regarding the tostada I belive it all depends on what part of mexico is made, like for instance I am from mexico city , and over in mexico city , our tostadas get refried beans spread on the tostada then , shredded cole slaw , slices of tomato and onion , and right on the very top of everything , grounded or fresh cheese.
