Terrific review of a terrific game. And it was a particularly classy touch to share your feelings about your grandfather with us. My dad was in the Battle of the Bulge, and there's not a Bulge game, let alone any WW2 wargame, that doesn't give me similar pause to think when playing. But you're exactly right - the game within the game of Phantom Leader is the loading of the weapons, and assigning the roles each plane on the raid will play with those weapons. Superb gaming experience. Nice job.

Nice review, and explanation. This game seems to be highly regarded among video reviewers. Marco another guy on the geek highly reviewed this aswell, and he had the glow in his eye when talking about it. There must be something there. I don understand what you are saying about the physical component of board games, there is some magic there when handling the pieces, that is visceral or something. Thanks for the cool vid.
