    I'd get rid of the Bible. You have to remember that the Bible was written by authors who were intent on promoting their own religious and spiritual beliefs. The writers lived in a pre-scientific age, which treated slavery, genocide, mass murder, and the oppression of women as acceptable behaviors. The school library copy of Catcher in the Rye had the objectionable words cut out. The american history book had a lot of errors.
