  • Why would ANYONE want to get 'treatment' for such a gift. i have it and i cant imagine being like those normal people. honestly, they dont know what they are missing ;)

  • I so wish I found out I was ADD/Dyslexic when I was a child...tho, I'll be on Ritalin soon, or whatever else they suggest.

  • @youmarley Took the words out of my mouth

the side effects of the pills , the lists mile long!!!

  • cannabis helps better than methamphetamine.....but the government says I must take the class 3, highly addictive, controlled substance- rather than the organic, non-toxic plant to ease my turmoil. Brilliant bunch of politicians eh?!

  • @NasCruz also, try this site studygs.net

  • @NasCruz

Hey dude. I think I was double blessed. Google and read pages on "Dual exceptionality".

    Stuff like : giftedkids.about.com/od/giftedandld/a/gt_and_ld_3.htm

Also read what you can find on different learning styles, e.g. kinesthetic, auditory, visual. Even today, as i read, i translate the paragraphs into pictures in the margin.

Find your own ways to draw attention, to inspire. My best quality is my insatiable curiosity for all topics. And that comes directly from my ADD. Good Luck

  • @SSuperCuriouss Do you have any sites or information I can take a look at please? many thanks.

  • haha

  • I have ADD, and I'm a very successful senior engineer (32 y/o).

I found ways to study and harness the potential of my diverse scattered thinking. Sure, I struggle with procrastination and finishing tasks, but tools around me help. I have never been medicated.

My solutions are creative and insightful, I can almost feel the answers coming to me. So, its also been a blessing.

  • is this boardom.Easily board???You know?Procrastination?Yet quite interested in new things. Is that part of it?
