It was busy night last night as voters hit the polls to elect new city council and school board members in a number of cities around Lake Minnetonka. Here's a look at those races.

Minnetonka School Board election results

Incumbents Erin Adams and Pam Langseth and Peg Keenan will have Minnetonka School Board seats for the next four years.

The three candidates are the unofficial winners of Tuesday, Nov. 3, School District 276 election.

There were 1826 votes for Erin Adams, 1823 for Peg Keenan, 1816 for Pam Langseth and 1634 for Jim Patterson.

The results are unofficial until certified at the Thursday, Nov. 5 school board meeting.

Orono School Board
When the Orono School Board reports for its first meeting of 2010 in January, two new members will take their place at the table.

Voters in the Orono School District on Tuesday, Nov. 3, elected newcomers Bob Tunheim and Mike Johnson to the board, along with incumbent Martha Van de Ven.

Tunheim was the top vote getter with 818 votes, followed by Van de Ven with 809 and Johnson with 731. Lyle Brandt finished fourth with 317 votes.

Wayzata School District
Voters in the Wayzata School District selected incumbents Susan Droegemueller and John Moroz and newcomer Susan Gaither to fill the three open four-year seats on the board.

Drogemueller was the leading vote getter with 2,579 votes, followed by Gaither with 2,269 and Moroz with 1,119.

Voters also approved both of the district's levy questions, which renewed existing technology and operating levies.

Hopkins School Board
It was a close call for the final open seat, but it appears incumbent Betsy Scheurer and first-time candidates Susan Wootten and Warren Goodroad will end up victorious in the Nov. 3 Hopkins School Board race.

Not all precincts reported until late Wednesday morning, but Goodroad held onto a slim lead over Paul Scofield for the third of three open seats on the board.

Scheurer, the only incumbent to seek re-election, received 26 percent of the vote (2,494 votes) for the highest total, according to Hopkins Public Schools. She was followed by Wootten with 24 percent (2,287 votes) and Goodroad with 20 percent (1,874 votes).

Nevertheless, it was close for the final seat. Scofield received 1,853 votes - 21 fewer than Goodroad.

The final candidate, Israel Alguindigue, received 9 percent of the vote (888 votes).

Vote totals are unofficial until the Hopkins School Board canvasses them, which it is scheduled to do in a Nov. 5 meeting.

Hopkins City Council
The Hopkins City Council will look the same next year as it does this year, as both incumbents seeking re-election were victorious in the Nov. 3 election.

Mayor Gene Maxwell will remain in his seat as well, having run unopposed. He will serve another two years as mayor.

With all precincts reporting, incumbents Cheryl Youakim and Kristi Halverson received the highest vote totals, earning another four years on the council.

Minnetonka City Council
It was a good night for incumbents in Minnetonka Tuesday, Nov. 3, as Dick Allendorf and Amber Greves were re-elected to their seats on the City Council.

Mayor Terry Schneider was running for re-election unopposed and will serve another four-year term as mayor.

Allendorf defeated challenger Bonnie Bina in the City Council At-Large Seat A race. He received 61 percent of the vote (2,398 votes), according to the Minnesota Secretary of State's Office. Bina received 39 percent (1,546 votes), with all precincts reporting
