Born in rural poverty in Pike County, Alabama during the year of the Montgomery Bus Boycott at just six months of age, Mr. Wynn was given up for adoption and raised in urban poverty south side of Chicago. He beat the odds to survive the gangs and despair of poverty to graduate with honors from Boston's Northeastern University as his family's first college graduate. Mr. Wynn has taught middle school students and adult learners at the U.S. Department of Labor. He currently provides staff development, parenting workshops, and college planning seminars for students at schools and school districts throughout the United States, the Caribbean, and Bermuda.
